  • The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, a 35 year protest of one of Argentina's darkest historical points
  • Iguazu Falls, one of the most famous national parks & tourist destinations
  • Glacier National Park in Patagonia, Argentina
    > Tarea #28: Based on what we discussed and learned in class today about Argentina, select a focus area to research in more depth.     
            (For example: Tango, gauchos, food & cuisine, yerba mate, Buenos Aires or any of the major cities, Iguazu Falls, animals of Patagonia, Eva Perón, the mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, Che Guevara, etc.)
Once you have selected your topic, do some research (read some websites, watch a couple of videos) and summarize what you learned. Write your summary in English, 1-2 pages, and list sources (no special format required). At the end, choose the most important highlights of your English summary, and write 1-2 paragraphs in Spanish. You will share the Spanish portion in class on Friday.
