1) Write three things that happened this weekend (or this summer) in preterite
2) Describe three things that happened in your favorite book or movie, using preterite
*WEEK 7-B: (Classwork) Begin reading detective story
• Circle words you don't know, and try to keep reading to see if you can figure them out by context. Then define them
• Write a brief summary of each paragraph in the margins, in English
Tues. Oct 11:
*WEEK 7-C: (Classwork, on page stapled to 7-B) Write your own ending to the detective story
• Show how well you understood it by making your ending fit the clues provided
• Show how well you can write in preterite by using the narrator's point of view and conjugating correctly
Wed. Oct 12:
*WEEK 7-D: (Warmup) Write TWO three sentence preterite descriptions, each of a well-known story, Disney movie, etc.
