    *WEEK 18-A: Quickwrite - What did you learn from yesterday's guest speaker?
    How to calculate what you need to get on final exams (See this online tool, also)
    ***IMPORTANT: Please come to class tomorrow with the answers to the following, for each of your classes:
        - How much is the final worth (either in percentage, or in points)?
        - What kind of final is it? (e.g., Scantron/Multiple choice, Short essay answer, Fill-in-the-blank, etc.)
        - Calculate exactly what score you need to get on each final to keep or improve your current grade

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Study-A-Thon will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 8:00am - 12:00pm at PVPHS. Please read the announcement for complete details. Remember, your parent must submit written permission (note or email) if you wish to opt out.
Cookies, Cocoa, and Cram will be held January 12-14 from 3pm-5pm in the CCC. All freshmen are invited! This is a great option if you can't make it to Study-A-Thon or need free tutoring!

FINALS WEEK IS COMING

No school Monday, January 18th.
Zero Period Final is Tuesday, Jan 19th, followed by a modified schedule for Periods 1-6.
Period 1 and 2 Finals are on Wednesday, January 20th.
Period 3 and 4 Finals are on Thursday, January 22nd.
Period 5 and 6 Finals are on Friday, January 23rd.

PARENTS: We will be holding a fun and interesting event on April 15th called "Bite of Reality", and we will need 20 parent volunteers. Please contact Sandi Sidella, AVID 10 teacher at PVPHS, if you wish to volunteer and tell her which AVID student is your child. EMAIL [email protected]

STANDING DUE DATES:
• TRFs are due when you walk in the door, every week on Tutorial days.
• Cornell Notes are checked every other week; take notes in your other academic classes, and bring them in to be checked.
• Some assignments will be collected in class, the same day, and will be announced as such when assigned.
• Other assignments are due one week from the date assigned unless otherwise noted here or on whiteboard in class.
