Dec 2: GUEST SPEAKER - Cris Brown *WEEK 14-D: Notes on speaker (Extra credit) | Guest Speaker: Cris Brown Executive Chef & Restaurant Consultant A native of Los Angeles, California, Cris found his calling to cuisine while playing football at El Camino College. After Finishing at El Camino college he enrolled in the renown Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, CA. Upon graduating with honors and at the top of his class, Cris was hired at the Bazaar by Jose Andres. Cris then moved on to work as a food stylist for the Food Network and work on the tv show Grill it! with celebrity chef Bobby Flay. In 2010 Cris moved to Washington D.C and worked again under Jose Andres at the 1 star Michelin restaurant the Mini Bar. He then moved to New York to work at the world renowned New York Modernized Pub WD-40 by Wylie Dufrane. Cris returned to Los Angeles in 2013 where he trained under French Chef Josiah Citrin at the world renowned 2 star Michelin Melisse in Santa Monica, CA. Cris the landed his first Executive Chef Position in west LA at a French restaurant called Lemon Moon. Cris is now the Executive Chef at Ortega 120 and Hey 19 Public house. Cris has been featured on television shows such as Chopped Duels, Hell’s Kitchen and Fox News. |

Here is where you can find all the assignments and information we discuss in class. Plan to visit this site at least once a week, if not daily! Goals of AVIDSTANDING DUE DATES:
• TRFs are due when you walk in the door, every week on Tutorial days. • Cornell Notes are checked every other week; take notes in your other academic classes, and bring them in to be checked. • Some assignments will be collected in class, the same day, and will be announced as such when assigned. • Other assignments are due one week from the date assigned unless otherwise noted here or on whiteboard in class.
