Goals of AVID

Help you succeed in your academic classes in high school, so you can get into a four-year university
Help you prepare for the academic, emotional, and mental challenges of attending a four-year university
Help you acquire skills, strategies, mindset, and peer support to achieve your personal and academic goals

STANDING DUE DATES:
• TRFs are due when you walk in the door, every week on Tutorial days.
• Cornell Notes are checked every other week; take notes in your other academic classes, and bring them in to be checked.
• Some assignments will be collected in class, the same day, and will be announced as such when assigned.
• Other assignments are due one week from the date assigned unless otherwise noted here or on whiteboard in class.
