T12 - Draw a house, and label its rooms and furniture. For the image(s)of the house and rooms, you can do a side view, a top view, a 3-D view, you can use pictures from a magazine, newspaper or the internet, you can print screenshots from a game of The Sims, etc. --- I don't care where you get the pictures, I'm more concerned with the Spanish you use: Label each of the rooms and the items in them using a minimum of 15 of the new vocab terms from p.273. After you have drawn and labeled your house and furniture, write 5 descriptive sentences about the pictures (Note: Vocab in your sentences does not count toward your total of 15 or the labels -- they are two separate things. It's okay if there is overlap with the words you use, though).

I've managed to get my access to the website straightened out, but now I'm really behind on updates ... so here is a single post with all the updates for the last week or so:
T6: Textbook p.242, Actividades 1 y 2
T7: Textbook p.243, Actividades 3 y 4
T8: U3-E3 Hoja de cultura (see file below)
T9: “Una línea cronológica” (Based on p.236, Actividad 15)
For this assignment, create a timeline on an 8½” x 11” sheet of paper that shows 10 interesting or important events that have occurred in your life.
T11: Worksheet - Unidad 4, Etapa 1: El subjuntivo / La cocina
T5 - Workbook, pp.87-88
Tonight's homework is additional practice with the subjunctive. Tomorrow is the quiz on the three main ideas for this chapter:
NOTE: Many of you missed the vocab quiz on Friday! It is your responsibility to schedule with a time (either before school or after) with me or Mrs. Gunn to take that quiz!!
T4 - Textbook p.233, Actividad 10 : Make an 8 1/2" x 11" poster or flyer
You DO have to do 3 illustrations minimum. You do NOT have to stop there -- you can do more if you want. Keep in mind, it's a regular homework assignment, worth the normal amount of points ... BUT the more fun you have with it, the more likely you'll remember this stuff on the quiz on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!
T3 - Workbook pp.85-86
Complete the workbook pages for additional practice on using doler and the subjunctive. The pages are included below.
T2 - Workbook pp. 83 - 84
Today in class we learned about using the verb hacer to talk about tiem, such as "hace 4 años que quiero venir a la programa de Elena Suarez," which means "It makes 4 years that I've wanted to come to the program of Elena Suarez." This is a bit different from how we would say it it English ("I've wanted to ... for 4 years"). Check the book or your notes fro more info on these expressions of time using hacer.
If you need a copy of the workbook page, it is included below.
T1 - Complete the Las partes del cuerpo worksheet, and write 10 sentences using doler
Refer to your notes from class today, and use the chart that we practiced with to write ten sentences about the following scenario: Imagine that a group of injured people are all waiting to see the doctor. Your sentences can be a conversation between these people, or it can be a simple description.
Examples: Jorge dice, "Me duele el brazo." Ana dice, "¿Te duele el brazo? ¡Me duele la cabeza!" Ramón dice, "Me duelen los ojos, estaba mirando al sol."
This is the chart you should have in your class notes
The worksheet is below if you need a copy.
